Dr. Parsons has over 10 years of experience providing forensic anthropology and forensic archaeology services for governmental and non-governmental agencies.

She is also available for private consultations.

    • Determination of human versus non-human skeletal remains

    • Assessment of forensic significance of remains (contemporary versus archaeological cases)

    • Search and recovery of remains from a variety of depositional contexts including surface deposits, burials, indoor settings, and vehicles. 

    • Full skeletal analysis to estimate the biological sex, age, ancestry, stature, pathological conditions, and individualizing characteristics to assist investigations of missing persons cases

    • DNA and Carbon-14 sampling

    • Trauma analysis to help investigators reconstruct the circumstances surrounding death and distinguish perimortem injuries from antemortem injuries and postmortem damage to remains.

    • Postmortem damage analysis (taphonomy) including thermal, fluvial, and other body concealment strategies (dismemberment, woodchipper damage, etc)
